Fog Globe - Redwoods
Fog Globe - Redwoods
Let it fog! Bring home the beauty of the forest with this award-winning redwood fog globe. This whimsical take on a traditional snow globe is inspired by the beauty of California's old-growth redwood forests and the swirling, life-giving fog they depend upon. Carefully hand-crafted and unique, each globe features a miniature redwood forest model cast from resin and meticulously hand-painted. Sparkling silver glitter evokes the shimmer of the ever-changing fog. Each globe is packaged in a gift box which contains information on the monumental coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), the planet's tallest tree species.
Winner of the 2019 Public Lands Alliance Innovative Product of the Year Award.
Did You Know?
San Francisco's fog is legendary. Created when moist ocean air drifts across the cold California current that flows along the coastline, the fog is drawn inland through this narrow gap in the Coast Range. The majestic coast redwoods, which can live more than 2,000 years, grow only in a 450-mile swath primarily along the California coast. They survive the region's dry summer months by capturing fog in their needles.
