About the Collection
This print collection was developed 30 years ago by the Parks Conservancy. It was spearheaded by two people: founder and former CEO of the Parks Conservancy Greg Moore, and former Conservancy Board Member Rich Silverstein (an award-winning advertising executive most well-known for being art director at Rolling Stone and co-creator of the famous “Got Milk?” campaign). The images paid homage to “classic” WPA-style National Park images from the 1930s, but were updated to reflect the unique natural and cultural sites of the Golden Gate national parks. At the time of their release, they were an immediate hit, and have since become an enduring park favorite. Sales of the prints support the Conservancy’s efforts to protect and preserve the lands they celebrate.
